Tasha Stucke –
Defiance College Women’s Basketball (Coldwater) -
Defiance
concluded their regular season with a 9-16 overall
record. On the season, Stucke started all 25 games for
the Yellow Jackets and averaged 6.6 points per game.
She also led the team in minutes per game, assists per
game, steals, and free throw percentage. |

Kim Miller

Bluffton College Women’s Basketball (St. John’s) –
The Beaver’s ended
their season in the Heartland Collegiate Athletic
Conference tournament with an overtime loss (110-102) to
Hanover. In the game, Miller had 23 points, five
rebounds, four assists, and two steals. |

Maria Moeller –
Ohio State University Women’s Basketball (Marion Local)
– Last Monday,
the Buckeyes captured a second round win in the NCAA
tournament with a 64-58 win over Mississippi State. In
the victory, Moeller scored two points in nine minutes
of action. In their Sweet 16 loss to Stanford, Moeller
closed her career with four points and an assist, as the
Buckeyes ended their campaign with a 29-6 overall
record. |

Jenna Blackburn –
University of Northwestern Ohio Women’s Basketball
(Minster) – The
Racers were knocked from the AMC post-season tournament
by Mount Vernon Nazarene by a final of 74-71, ending
their campaign with a 17-13 record. In the contest,
Blackburn had 10 points, two steals, a rebound and an
assist. She completed the season averaging 5.4 points
per game along with 1.6 assists each time out. |

Karen Brackman –
Northern Kentucky University Women’s Basketball (Minster) –
The Norse were denied
the shot to defend their NCAA Division II National title
with a 76-53 loss to Michigan Tech over the weekend. In
the defeat, Brackman led the team with 16 points. She
also added five rebounds, an assist and a steal. |

Laura Gruber –
John Carroll Women’s Basketball (Minster) -
John Carroll’s season came
to an end in the OAC tournament with a 70-57 loss to
Muskingum. In the battle, Gruber did not see any action
and finished the campaign averaging 7.5 points and 3.8
rebounds per contest. |

Kacie Otting –
Wilmington College Women’s Swimming (Minster) -
Wilmington College's season ended with a 4th place
finish in the OAC League Meet. Otting finished her
career with a 100-yard Breaststroke OAC title.
Otting was also awarded the Clyde Lamb Athlete Scholar
Award and became the first Wilmington swimmer to win
this award. |

Scott Schnelle – Ohio Northern Men’s
Basketball (New Bremen) – In a 63-58 loss to Capital in
the OAC tournament semi-finals, Schnelle had three
points and a shot block. |

Christine Schwartz –
Capital University Women’s Basketball (New Bremen) –
In the opening round of the
NCAA post-season tournament, the Crusaders fell to
Washington University (Mo.) by a final of 77-72. In the
defeat, Schwartz did not see any action, as the
Crusader’s ended their campaign with a 22-6 overall
record. |

Capital University Men’s Basketball (New Bremen) –

Capital’s final game of the season. |

Mark Snyder –
Wittenberg University Men’s Basketball (Parkway) –
The
Tigers were eliminated from the NCAC post-season
tournament with a 65-60 loss to Kenyon. In the battle,
Snyder finished with ten points and a team-leading seven
rebounds. Wittenberg finished the season with a 13-13
overall record. |

Kurt
Huelsman –
University of Dayton Men’s Basketball (St. Henry) –
In the opening round of the
men’s NCAA tournament, the Flyers posted a 68-60 win
over the West Virginia Mountaineers. In the win,
Huelsman grabbed five rebounds and scored three points.
In the second round game against the defending national
champion Kansas Jayhawks, he recorded three rebounds,
two points, two steals, and an assist in the Flyers’
17-point loss. |

Ross
Niekamp –
Capital University Men’s Basketball (St. Henry) –
In Capital’s
season-ending loss, Niekamp tallied eight rebounds, five
points, two assists and a steal in 28 minutes of action. |

Nate
Stahl –
Capital University Men’s Basketball (St. Henry) – The
Crusaders watched their season come to an end with a
71-63 defeat at the hands of Texas-Dallas. In the loss,
Stahl contributed a game-high 27 points. He also added
nine rebounds in the final game of his senior year. The
Crusaders finished the year 26-5, the most successful
men’s basketball season in the history of the school.
Stahl finished his career as Capital’s second all-time
leading scorer with 1,596 points. |

Justine Raterman

University of Dayton Women’s Basketball (Versailles) -
In the opening round
of the women’s NIT post-season festivities, the Flyers
recorded a 15-point win over Oakland. Raterman recorded
a double-double in the win with 16 points, ten rebounds,
and an assist. In their second round game against
Indiana, the Flyers fell 59-57 on a last-second tip in.
In the contest, she had eight points, five rebounds,
eight assists, and a block. The Flyers ended their
campaign with a 21-14 overall record. |

–
Walsh University Men’s Basketball (Versailles) –
In the first round of the
NAIA Division II National Championship, the Cavaliers
were upset by unseeded Ottawa University by a final of
91-83. In the defeat, Jeremy scored a career-high 34
points, while Joe added 21 points and eight rebounds in
the defeat. |
