Danielle Goubeaux Ohio Northern University Softball (Coldwater) – In the opening round of the NCAA Division III championships, the Polar Bears squared off against Messiah, Pennsylvania, and lost 3-1.  Goubeaux picked up one hit in the defeat.  In their second game, the Polar Bears were eliminated by Texas-Tyler by a final of 4-2.  In their final game of the season, Goubeaux was three-for-four at the plate, as Ohio Northern ended their season with a 39-6 overall record.

Ben Pax University of Purdue Track & Field (Coldwater) – Pax competed in the Big Ten Championship this past weekend in the pole vault. He vaulted 17'1 1/2" which placed him second in the Big Ten. Pax will be competing in the NCAA Regionals coming up at Louisville, Ky.
Sam Slavik University of Cincinnati Baseball (Coldwater) – In a 7-6 win against Ohio, Slavik picked up his first win of the season on the mound.  In one inning of action, he struck out one batter as the Bearcats moved to 27-26 on the season.  In an 8-6 loss to Seton Hall over the weekend, Slavik hurled for two innings and allowed two hits and a walk, while striking out one batsmen.  Johnson (Delphos St. John’s) did not see action last week.
Tasha Stucke Defiance College Softball (Coldwater) – The Yellow Jackets’ season ended with a 30-16 record.  Stucke led the team in at bats (148), and stolen bases (3).  She was tied for first in doubles (10) and triples (2), while she finished second on the team in hits (44) and runs batted in (29).
Nick Johnson University of Cincinnati Baseball (St. John’s) – Johnson did not see action last week.

Amy Kremer University of Dayton Women’s Track & Field (Minster) – The Flyers are off until the end of May when they participate in the NCAA Mideast Regional meet.
Evan Lee Columbus State University (Minster) – Lee became the first golfer for Columbus State to qualify for the NJCAA Division II National Championships at Goose Pond Colony Golf Course in Scottsboro, Alabama on May 19-22.  Lee finished 4th in the Region 12 District Tournament at Kalamazoo Community College with a 3 round 228 (12 over par).
Andrew MeyerEastern Michigan University Men’s Track and Field (Minster) – At the 2009 Mid-American Conference Championships, Meyer placed 13th overall in the discus with a throw of 124-03 and 11th in the hammer throw with his heave of 149 feet.  In the shot put, he placed 10th with a throw of 51-3, while Eastern Michigan placed second in the meet behind the Akron Zips.

Brigette Sherman University of Dayton Women’s Track & Field (Minster) – The Flyers are off until the end of May when they participate in the NCAA Mideast Regional meet.
Bryce Bergman U.S. Air Force Academy (New Bremen) - In the Mountain West Conference Championships, Bergman excelled, as he placed 3rd in the 110 hurdles.  He also ran legs in the 4x100- and 4x400-meter relays, which finished third and sixth respectively for the meet in which the Academy ended up fourth overall.
Troy Lammers University of Cincinnati Men’s Track and Field (New Bremen) - The Bearcats are in action next week at the NCAA Mid-East Regionals.

Jayme Marbaugh Bluffton University Softball (Parkway) – For the second straight season, Marbaugh was named to the All-HCAC First Team.  In the regular season, she led the team in at bats (135), runs scored (39), and triples (2), while finishing second in batting average (.385), hits (52), stolen bases (11), and doubles (10).

Patrick ReichertOhio State University Men’s Track and Field (St. Henry) – The Buckeyes men's track team finished 2nd in the Big Ten Championships.  Reichert did not compete in any events.
Zac Richard – Xavier Baseball (Versailles) – The Musketeers defeated Indiana State last week, 9-8.  In the victory, Richard had one hit and was hit by a pitch.  In an 8-5 loss to the Dayton Flyers, he allowed three hits, three runs, and a walk, while striking out one in five innings of action on the mound.  In a 6-4 win in the second game of their triple-bill with Dayton, Richard smacked three base hits, including one home run and scored twice.  Finally, in a 12-5 win over the Flyers, he scored twice and knocked in a run as the Musketeers improved to 33-18 on the season.
